Principal's Message

Welcome To Brookfield High School!

We are continuing to make many positive changes in the Brookfield R-III School district.  It is our intent to keep you up to date with all the changes via this website.  We have already made a few changes this semester with the school board approving a new attendance policy and establishing an academic lettering policy.

At the January 23, 2018 school board meeting a new attendance policy was approved for Brookfield High School.  Because it already meets MSBA and School Board policy it is retroactive and deemed to be in place as of January 4, 2018.  From this point forward students will be held to the new policy guidelines.  You can view the new policy on our website under "For Parents."  Please take a minute to familiarize yourselves with the changes.

At the same meeting our school board approved an Academic Lettering policy.  From this point forward students meeting ALL the following criteria will be awarded a Letter for High Academic Achievement:
1. Students must have a yearly cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher.
2. Students must have a score of 24 or higher on the ACT.
3. Students must have at least a 95% attendance rate.
4. Students must be in good standing with the District.

We are beginning to use social media to keep all interested parties up to date with Brookfield High School.  You can now follow us on Twitter at @brkfldr3, and on Instagram at brookfield_high_school.   We also have a Mobile App that allows you easier access to information on our website.  Search for Brookfield R-III Schools in your appstore.  You can also access our parent portal on a mobile app.  Search for Tyler SIS Student 360 in your appstore.

A great man once told me..."There are two things in life you can control. Your attitude and your effort."  Overall I have been very pleased with the attitude and effort of our students and staff through first semester.  As always I believe our best days are yet to come.  Please continue to check in for new information.  It's a great day to be a Bulldog.  Tomorrow is going to be even better!"

Sincerely,
Nile Thudium
High School Principal
